Rothschild Pavilion Winter Wedding | Emily & Branden by Kelsy & Butch McCartney

Emily & Branden’s wedding fell on a perfect winter wonderland kind of day – the type of day every winter bride hopes for! Their wedding was also laced with heartfelt gestures and even some humor to showcase their personalities! You’ll see what we mean when we get to their first look where Emily wore a costumer over her wedding dress. ;) With stunning florals by Inspired by Nature, styling & planning by Kase Styles and inevitable rustic the charming Rothschild Pavilion provides, Emily & Branden threw quite the celebration and we are so thankful to have been a part of it!

Patti & Dan celebrated with an absolutely classic Wausau Country Club Wedding. Evolutions in Design provided elegant florals throughout the entire day, perfectly complimenting Patti's elegant "Hollywood" gown and Dan's tux. From the moment we arrived to St. Michaels Church, the two of them were excited to marry each other and celebrate with their closest family & friends!! Patti soaked in a few quiet moments before being escorted down the aisle by her Dad to the smiling groom awaiting her. After saying their I Do's, Patti & Dan's bridal party and family made their way to the Historic Yawkey House Museum for portraits. They were blessed with an absolutely beautiful fall day as the sun kissed their shoulders all day long. Having the Yawkey House all to ourselves for portraits had our smiles touching our ears with excitement! Next, upon arriving at Wausau Country Club, we were able to escape with Patti & Dan onto the fairways. Seeing the two of them smile at each other during those portraits was just magical. The evening light was incredible, Patti & Dan were the happiest newlyweds, and there we were, capturing them on film. We feel SO lucky to have documented Patti & Dan's wedding day!

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour and a giant display of appetizers before entering the most stunning reception space at Wausau Country Club! With Patti's Mom, Micki, planning much of their wedding, she thought of every detail. Including a "kissing bell" awaiting each guest at their table. Dinner was filled with the sounds of ringing bells urging Patti & Dan to kiss just one more time, and we especially loved this means of bringing about smooches because, just like their wedding day, it felt completely timeless. Randy and his amazing team at Evolutions decorated with stunning gold chairs and white florals to make Patti & Dan's celebration romantic, and so beautiful. After sweet (and entertaining!!) toasts, the new Mr & Mrs kicked off dancing with their band, the Bluewater Kings, who from the second the first dances were over had the dance floor stomping with energy.

Patti & Dan, thank you for trusting your wedding day memories to us. We were overjoyed to spend time with you at your parents property for your winter engagement, and couldn't be happier for the two of you!

Love, Kelsy & Butch

Kasey and Mike's love story sounds like it is straight out of a movie. They knew each other in high school, he liked her but didn't act on it, they went their separate ways for college, and a few years later were set-up by a mutual friend who knew of those high school feelings Mike had for Kasey. Despite distance and Kasey wanting to live in a larger city they were soon both living in Wausau, as if they were meant to be here together the entire time! :) These two are planning a 2016 wedding and we cannot wait to see everything they're dreaming up with Evolutions in Design come to life!! In the meantime, we love how much creativity and thought Kasey put into her and Mike's engagement session!

There's a stunning property in Weston that we drive by every single time we go to Target (which as you can imagine, is quite often!) and every single time we pass it, we comment to each other how much we simply LOVE the property and would be ecstatic to photograph a session there. With its grand driveway perfectly lined with trees and a forever-long white fence, it looks straight out of the South and has all of the charm you can imagine! After chatting with Kasey and Mike, we realized the property we'd been eyeing up for all these years belongs to Mike's Aunt & Uncle. Isn't it amazing how the universe works sometimes?! :) Needless to say, Kasey & Mike were completely up for having their engagement session there, and we couldn't wait!

Candles galore, a tucked away spot on the water, Mike's classic pickup, their cute-as-can-be mini goldendoodle pup, Harper, and a perfect early-fall sunset. It really doesn't get any more lovely than this!! :) Kasey & Mike, thank you so much! We couldn't be more excited to be a part of your wedding and can't wait for our next Harper+Parker playdate :)

Love, Kelsy & Butch

We couldn't wait for this weekend to arrive. Ellie & Andrew's wedding celebration was straight out of a movie, filled with so much love & overflowing emotion!! It all started with their rehearsal dinner, which took place at their family friend's barn in Rib Mountain. Randy from Evolutions in Design helped transform the barn into a perfectly styled and charming space for all of Ellie & Andrew's closest friends & family to enjoy a gorgeous early summer night!

Photographing rehearsal dinners is quickly becoming our favorite way to tell a larger story of our couples' wedding weekend! The genuine hugs, anticipation and excitement that are present at the rehearsal dinner are absolutely beautiful, and capturing those candid, unscripted moments of joy makes us so happy. When ever we approach a wedding or portrait session, we think to ourselves: if we were Ellie and Andrew (or any other couple/family), what photos would we love to have?? That guides us through every image we capture, and it's a huge part of the reason we are often smiling behind our cameras. :) Especially on this beautiful day with Ellie and Andrew's WONDERFUL, sweet, and welcoming families, we were honored to capture such moments for them!

Lots more to come from Ellie & Andrew's stunning Rothschild Pavilion wedding later this week... we're bursting-at-the-seams excited to share and you won't want to miss it!! :)

Love, Kelsy & Butch
