Door County Family Portraits | The Larsens!

This cute-as-can-be little lady just turned ONE!! To celebrate the occasion with photos, we had the absolute pleasure of meeting the Larsens in Door County. After photographing Kim & Stew's Door County wedding and milestones along the way with their two sweet girls, Maggie & Annie, we've grown to adore this family more and more, and always look forward to their portrait sessions (here, here and here). Like Butch, Kim & Stew both grew up in Door County, so as soon as Kim mentioned a Door County session we were completely on board! :) For us, the County is an oasis of relaxation, fun, family, and inspiration... not to mention it is one of our favorite places in the Midwest to photograph! When their session arrived, we were absolutely thrilled to have the most beautiful spring day for portraits on Kim & Stew's family's farm. Maggie was twirling in the most vibrant dress while Annie's non-stop smiles & giggles had us all beaming!! Creating images for this sweet family, our dear friends, in a location that holds so much meaning to their family was not only a blast, but an absolute honor. DOOR COUNTY FAMILY PORTRAITS | THE McBRIANs

These four :) While vacationing in Door County last week with Stevi, Charles, Charlie & Leo, we snuck them out for a family portrait session along the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan!! The first spot we found was a little crazy with giant crashing waves and huge gusts of wind coming off the lake, but WOW did it make for some energy-filled portraits! Next we went to a perfectly sunny, tucked-away gem of a spot and slowed things down with cozy portraits, tickle tortures, and so much laughter.

Stevi & Charles were married this April in Carmel, California and we had the pleasure of standing up in their bridal party while our dear friend, Laura Ivanova captured their wedding celebration perfectly. :) Seeing them now as a family of four made for such a wonderful week spent in charming Door County! Clearly these four know how to have fun, and it was a blast capturing them together as a family!!

DOOR COUNTY FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER | SMITH FAMILY

When we arrived to Carrie and Nate's home in beautiful Door County, Nora & Camilla were adorably dressed in the most perfect fall-meets-winter ivory sweater dresses, the fireplace was roaring inside, and the field next to their home was absolutely glowing. So, as you might imagine, we were VERY excited to be taking pictures in this very spot, on this very day, with this wonderful family!

Just hours before Door County's first snowfall, Nora & Camilla were the cutest little troopers in the world and they had nothing but smiles & giggles to share with us! With a few warm-up breaks, lots of gorgeous light and a touch of simple yet rustic styling, we had a blast with this family of four. :)

Carrie, thank you so much for choosing us to photograph your family!! It was such an honor and we cannot wait for the next chance to spend time with your sweet family (as well as, of course, photograph the beautiful weddings you help bring to life)!
