Grain Exchange Milwaukee Wedding | Vanessa & Sean

Vanessa & Sean’s wedding was highly anticipated by everyone involved!! Together with Janelle from Evenement Planning, Vanessa dreamed up a glamorous, grand celebration and the Grain Exchange in Milwaukee.

Their wedding day was filled with thoughtful details and touches – like the bowtie and pocket square Vanessa surprised Sean with, that was made with his late mother’s wedding dress fabric. Seeing him open such a special gift with his brother and dad was such a powerful moment and it really set the tone for a heartfelt, beautiful celebration!

After getting ready, Vanessa was whisked away to their ceremony at Old St. Mary’s Church! The Grain Exchange awaited everyone, where they enjoyed a reception filled with intermittent dance breaks. It went a little something like this – grand entrance, dance party, welcome toast, dance party, first course, dance party… you get the idea! :) This brought all of their guests crashing onto the dance floor each time, and was so much fun to be part of! ENERGY continued to fill the room all evening, and we couldn’t be happier for newlyweds Vanessa & Sean!

Door County Wedding Inspiration at Northern Haus

We had the pleasure of photographing a wedding event held at Northern Haus in Door County. The reception space was filled with several inspired tables decorated with stunning florals by Flora Flowershop, and we loved the fresh, creative wedding reception decor styles!

Hoping to plan an eco-friendly wedding? Try mixing fresh potted herbs with your table decor, and bring a touch of the outdoors in with terracotta planters! Want to make a statement with your linens? Go big and bold with a dramatic floral print. Or, bring a soft, romantic feel with muted rose velvet linens!

We invite you to sit back and enjoy some visual eye candy in the form of these beautiful tablescapes!

About Thyme Farm Door County Weddings

When you think of a wedding at About Thyme Farm, a rustic barn nestled in Bailey’s Harbor, what do you envision? We’ve seen a classic tented wedding, a lush vibrant floral wedding, a clean and crisp wedding, and more – all at this natural barn venue!

Maybe that’s one of the best things about a rustic space. You can dress it up with romance and soft blooms, lean into the rustic vibe, or let the beautiful barn structure do the talking and keep things simple.

Sharing a few of our favorites here, in hopes this post provides you with inspiration for your own barn wedding… whether it happens to be at Door County’s own About Thyme Farm, or another venue!

An Elegant, Romantic Barn Wedding in Door County

About Thyme Farm’s property includes a large green space, plenty of room to set up a sailcloth tent if you’re hoping to elevate your reception! One of our couples chose to have cocktail hour & dancing in the barn, and dinner in the beautiful white tent. They topped it off with a beautiful Door County sunset and fireworks!

A Clean, Crisp Wedding at About Thyme Farm

After cocktail hour outdoors on a sunny summer day, guests were welcomed into the barn for dinner. White and green blooms adorned rows of long tables for this couple’s wedding, a perfect complement to the bride’s stunning dress!

A Lush, Vibrant Door County Wedding

Magenta, peach, pink, and all of the joyful colors were part of this rustic yet elegant wedding! Guests enjoyed cocktails on the grass with soft seating lounge areas before dinner in the barn. Upon entering, they were greeted by a giant wooden seating chart and beautiful floral installation. Gold chairs complimented the gold-rimmed glassware, and long tables with low, colorful arrangements added warmth to the space.

A Simple, Sweet Door County Barn Wedding

When your venue is About Thyme Farm, letting the property do the talking is certainly an option. After their outdoor wedding ceremony by the corn field, guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour followed by dinner in the barn. They were greeted by a table filled with glasses of champagne before finding their seats, where long white table linens were covered with eucalyptus and pops of soft summer flowers.

Lifestyle Newborn Portraits | Baby Blake

One of our very favorite things about portrait photography is seeing our clients families grow. We have had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kristin & Kris from their very first maternity session before their son Jax was born, followed by a few family sessions before their second baby boy, Blake’s newborn session earlier this year. Aside from being such a beautiful family on the inside and out, one thing we love is how well our aesthetic aligns with Kristin and Kris’. Their stunning home is such a dreamy space to capture their love in, and we have loved seeing their handsome boys grow up! To Kristin and Kris, thank you, as always, for the honor of photographing your family!
