DOOR COUNTY ON FILM

Butch grew up in Door County and we always love our trips back to visit, whether it is to photograph some of our awesome clients or to enjoy a bottle of amazing wine & cookout on the Green Egg with Butch's parents! No matter the occasion that brings us back, it is usually a mix of work and play which we LOVE! Just last month we had a weekend off - slightly crazy for October, but we were determined to make the most of it and enjoy every second! :) After chatting with Anna, we decided it was the perfect opportunity to plan a weekend in Door County. Originally the two of us & our cute lumberjack husbands planned to do a bit of fall camping, but the weather forecast kindly suggested we would have a more comfortable weekend if we were to stay at Butch's parents' house ;) And so we did! The result was a weekend of non-stop playtime with coffee dates, grilling salmon & steaks, hiking along the beach of Newport State Park on a perfect fall day, being spoiled with massive breakfasts, and enjoying one final bonfire of the season complete with s'mores. We had the best time and really couldn't be more grateful for a sweet clients who turn into two of your favorite friends!

NORTHWOODS ENGAGEMENT ON FILM | SAMANTHA & RYAN ARE GETTING MARRIED!

We couldn't be more excited to share these photos with you! Sam & Ryan are two of our most Favorite people in this world and our smiles are reaching our ears just thinking about them getting married!! As soon as we heard the news, we knew exactly where we wanted to take pictures of them! (and yes, they didn't have a choice, we were taking their engagement pictures. Period.) Sam's family has a BEAUTIFUL house on the lake in northern Wisconsin and it is one of our most favorite places to unwind while hanging out with the two of them. It's perfect. We knew this day was coming and are SO excited it is finally here! We remember meeting Sam for the very first time years ago, and we knew right away that she was a perfect match for Ryan.

Sam & Ryan, thank you for letting the two of us capture your faces :) We love them, and we love you.

WE LOVE FALL | CENTRAL WISCONSIN

For the first time in a few years, we can truly say that we maximized every ounce of Wisconsin's beautiful autumn!! It's not quite over yet, but the leaves were being swept from the streets in our neighborhood today which really only means one thing...they're making room for -- dare we say -- snow! Truly though, when we think about the last month we can't help but smile.  A trip to Bayfield, so much fall color, new chili recipe's, watching Parker bounce around in leaf piles five times his size, butternut squash risotto (yum!), a few extra afternoon coffee's, dream book writing on an inspired Sunday, fall pontooning & picnicking in Door County, taking entirely too many pictures of Parker, a weekend away with friends for some much needed relaxation & laughter, sessions in dreamy colorful spots (hello Chicago skyline + Grandma's property!), yummy birthday cupcakes, and SO much more!! MADISON ENGAGEMENT | LIZ & AARON

Adorable couple. Tons of laughter. Great style. MADISON! Every moment of Liz & Aaron's engagement session was 100% energizing! These two are so  much fun to be around and their silly little ways of making each other laugh were an absolute blast to photograph. We cannot wait to visit them in Madison again next May for their wedding at Memorial Union!!

CHICAGO JUST MARRIED SESSION ON FILM | ERIN & KEVIN

Here's where we confess that we wish all of our wedding couples decided to have a just married session! Erin & Kevin invited us to Chicago shortly after their wedding day for casual photos in their wedding attire, and we fell in love with the slow-paced lovey-dovey nature of this session! Let's break it down... you just married your best friend in the entire world and celebrated with your closest friends & family. You truly couldn't be happier!!! You might be missing all things wedding a bit, and you sure can attest to the fact that your wedding day is one of the fastest-moving most amazing and emotionally fulfilling days of your entire life. Why not take a moment to slow down, slip back into your wedding gown, and love on each other while remembering your day that went by in the blink of an eye! We couldn't possibly be more excited about these images that we created with Erin & Kevin! The Chicago skyline, the beach, and some of the most romantic light we have ever seen -- what more could we ask for?!  :)
