From the moment Kris mentioned "nautical" and "backyard" in the same sentence, we were especially excited for her & Nick's wedding day!! They are one of the sweetest couples ever and we absolutely adore Nick's family, so we had no doubt their wedding was going to be a stunning celebration! We also had the honor of photographing Nick's two sisters' weddings within the last few years, and it is safe to say that this family knows how to plan one heck of a wedding! ;) Kris & Nick were married on Nick's parents' beautiful land in Sturgeon Bay, which also doubles as the grounds for their landscaping business! With the help of their families, Kris & Nick put so much of themselves into their wedding day and we loved hearing all about it in our weekly email conversations leading up to their big day!! From brewing their own beer for their guests to enjoy, designing their invitations and decorating a perfectly white tent, we aren't quite sure how they managed to do it all! They even gifted all of their guests a brand new tree to take home and plant!

The feeling and energy of Kris & Nick's wedding day fit them perfectly -- a relaxed yet personalized celebration with their closest friends & family. And when you combine two people that have the most caring personality like Kris & Nick, everything else is icing on the cake! They are such a beautiful, genuine couple and their day was absolutely perfect!!
