Kayla and Alex are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet! Their sincerity and generosity are straight from the heart, and we feel truly lucky to have photographed their love story. Kayla & Alex put 100% of themselves into their wedding day! From the birch tree centerpieces that Alex sought out & cut himself to the adorable card box and K&A monogram, their wedding day reflected their personalities perfectly with a celebration that was warm, happy, inviting, and so fun :) The love these two share is absolutely radiant and when you see them together it's SO easy to picture them hand in hand giving each other the same I-love-you looks in 50 years :) They light each other up, and quite honestly, they light us up too! After you have spent time with Kayla & Alex it makes you want to grab the hand of your loved one or best friend and never let go. We just absolutely adore these two :)

INTIMATE WAUSAU WEDDING | CHERYL & STEVE

We love everything about the way Steve & Cheryl chose to celebrate their wedding day: with about 25 of their very closest friends & family members! We met at their house and the four of us slowed down together as Cheryl & Steve finished getting ready. Cheryl was absolutely stunning in a classic dress with a beautiful bouquet done by the always amazing Evolutions in Design!! Together, her & Steve were absolutely glowing and we are so honored to have photographed their intimate wedding day! In the world of weddings it is easy to get caught up in the glitz of throwing a party, but these two focused on what really matters: love & each other. For Cheryl & Steve, it was truly about uniting two families and creating a life they love together :)

WISCONSIN WAFFLE WEDDING | EDITORIAL SHOOT WITH A.STYLED EVENT & EVOLUTIONS IN DESIGN

With permanent smiles written across our faces, last week we posted a little preview of our excitement over a sweetly styled shoot with Anna of A.Styled Event. The inspiration behind this intimate brunch wedding came about earlier this year as Anna & I chatted through our computers on a snowy morning, surely in our pajamas and with coffee in hand. Apparently we were hungry and ready for wedding season to begin, as we were dreaming of sweet details and hints of maple syrup! ;) After months of sharing ideas back & forth like giddy schoolgirls, our inspiration shoot came to with help from an incredible team of WI wedding pros! Taylor Rae created the most perfect place cards, menus and calligraphy for the invitations, which were designed by Anna's husband Paul! Randy of Evolutions in Design completely blew us away with a truly stunning floral centerpiece, bouquet & bout. Jaxie shared her sweet talent, as our bride wore a custom designed birdcage veil and hair piece. Anna brought this shoot to life and created more elements than we can possibly begin to describe -- a bunting cake topper & handmade polka dotted napkins, oversized pillows, gold touches & more!!!

So, here you have it. A beautiful field setting. The perfect mix of cozy and lovely. A casual and romantic yet inviting picnic style celebration. Hints of fresh fruit & sweet treats. An adorable bride & groom. We hope that brides are able to find a bit of inspiration from the details and ideas that Anna poured into our brunch wedding! A huge thank you to all of the incredible vendors & friends who brought this shoot to life!! We had a absolute blast photographing every piece of it. For us, the icing on the cake was having our waffle wedding featured the lovely Southern Weddings Blog!

ROMANTIC DOOR COUNTY BEACH WEDDING | BECKY & JACK

After debating between a destination or Door County wedding, Becky & Jack dove head first into planning from their home in Virginia. It is safe to say that we were ecstatic when they reached out to us for their wedding photography!! We knew of a few pieces Becky planned to make for their wedding day, but were genuinely blown away when their big day arrived. She not only created personalized hangers for each of her bridesmaids, but went on to decorate a beautiful ceremony site on the beach at her Aunt's house on Lake Michigan, as well as every inch of their reception at the Landmark Resort! Becky & Jack's wedding day was filled with emotional moments that left us feeling distinctly honored to photograph them. From the thoughtful "something's" Becky's bridesmaids gifted her just after she slipped into her dress to the sand mixing ceremony with Jack's (and now Becky's!) children that united them as a family of five and the surprise release of butterflies, Becky & Jack's wedding day was truly a family affair! :)

LOVELY WAUSAU COUNTRY CLUB WEDDING | NICOLE & ERIC!

Nicole & Eric are two of the most caring, genuine and thoughtful people we have ever been lucky enough to meet, get to know, and photograph. They each have a selfless aura about them, and that definitely shined through on their wedding day as they were more concerned about their guests than themselves! We even caught Nicole, who is a hair stylist by day, doing one of her young cousin's hair while she was supposed to be getting ready herself because she wanted them to feel beautiful on her wedding day too! How amazing is that? :) As a couple, they are absolutely the perfect fit -- she brings out his silly side and makes him laugh, and he is the perfect compliment to her -- SUCH a joyful couple!! Their ceremony was held at a classic church in Wausau, and from there they led their guests to our favorite reception site in town, the Wausau Country Club! By pairing that with an AMAZING florist, Randy from Evolutions in Design, Nicole & Eric's wedding day was truly stunning!! We felt lucky to float around the course with Nicole & Eric on the other side of our cameras -- they are so beautiful, and that doesn't even begin to touch how awesome they are on the inside.

Wedding days fly by faster than anyone could ever imagine until they experience it themselves. We know just how important it is to step back and soak in each moment and every special guest around you. Capturing these moments is SO important, and we are incredibly honored that Nicole & Eric invited us into their lives to capture them with their most beloved family & friends!!
