2015 PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

Portrait sessions fill our hearts to the brim. Whether it’s photographing the anticipation of a soon-to-be Mom and Dad, the precious newness of brand new parents, a family of five with little ones running around, or a grown-up extended family who is simply happy to be all together in one place and wants the occasion documented, all of these sessions are centered around love. And capturing love in all of its forms is why we love what we do!! The little glances up at Mom and Dad, the tickle attacks and laughter, there is so much beauty in families and those connections are a giant source of inspiration for us as photographers. To all of the families and couples we had the privilege of photographing in 2015, thank you!! Thank you for inviting us in and feeling comfortable enough with us to be yourselves. We cannot wait to see what this year brings!!

WAUSAU FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER | THE MANZONS

Goodness do we ever adore this family! :) We’ve had the true pleasure of photographing Dominee, Hector & Bradley since he was just a few weeks old. Fast forward nearly three years and Bradley is suddenly this handsome little boy!

We started the Manzon’s session in their light-filled sunroom and afterwards made our way to their beautifully landscaped backyard. Every portrait session with these three has been on their stunning property, and we especially love the extra level of meaning this brings to all of the images we’ve created together.

Hector & Dominee, we cannot thank you enough for choosing us to capture your adorable family! It means so much to us, and we always look forward to seeing you!

FALL PORTRAITS | LAURIE, JON & LANEY

We've had the absolute pleasure of photographing Laurie before and when she asked us to capture her with her two favorites, we were so excited! We started Laurie & Jon's session at their charming, stylish home in Milwaukee. These two have been married for just over a year and wanted to celebrate the occasion with pictures! After a little snuggle time on the couch, their adorable lab, Laney, came bursting in with barrels of energy. She instantly brought so much joy to all of our faces!!

Hart Park served as a perfect location for the second half of their session as the sun was setting on a gorgeous fall day. We knew a little bit of climbing was in order as soon as we spotted a giant fallen tree. How romantic - Laurie and Jon sitting in a tree :) 

Laurie is an amazing wedding photographer in the Milwaukee area and also one of the sweetest ladies you'll ever meet. Her & Jon's love for each other was so evident throughout their session with their little touches and big smiles. :) We couldn't be more thankful they chose us to spend the afternoon with them! Cheers to countless more years of marriage and adventure together!!

OSHKOSH NEWBORN PHOTOGRAPHY | CLAYTON DANIEL!

One of the most amazing things is seeing some of your best friends go from husband and wife to mom and dad!! Through our years of friendship, we've chatted countless times about becoming parents and starting a family. All of the questions and concerns of how do you know when the time is right and are we ready or not were common topics of discussion between the four of us, especially in our recent get togethers. And when Anna & Paul shared their excitement with us earlier this year that they were expecting, we both EXPLODED with joy for the two of them!! We've had the true blessing of being able to photograph Anna & Paul from their engagement session & wedding all the way to family portraits, just-because sessions and, just this summer, beautiful Door County maternity portraits... But this newborn session has an extra special place in our hearts!! :) As soon as we arrived to their charming home (in a renovated barn!) and set our eyes on little Clayton Daniel, we completely melted. We loved seeing them so tenderly care for Clayton and shower him with love. From his sweet nursery to their patio, we couldn't stop photographing the three of them! :) After seeing Anna & Paul as beaming new parents, we couldn't get enough Clayton snuggles and can't wait to see him grow!! Come visit soon, friends! We couldn't be happier for the THREE of you!

Let us simply start by saying, photographing our dear friends makes us SO happy!! Over the last few years we've had the pleasure of documenting Jodi & Brent's engagement & wedding, and just last week we headed out on an absolutely gorgeous evening for portraits!

You can find Jodi & Brent capturing lifestyle portraits & joyful wedding celebrations over at Beyond Imagination Photography! Sometimes photographing photographers has the ability to make you a bit nervous because you want to do the best job of your life for them!! But with these two, it is effortless! :)

It has been almost two years since Jodi & Brent's wedding day and these two are still one of the sweetest couples we know – not to mention, they're gorgeous and absolutely adorable together! Jodi is one of the most vibrant and full-of-life little ladies you will ever meet, and it couldn't be more clear how much her & Brent love adventuring through life together (with their adorable pup, Jewels, who must join in their next session!!).
