WISCONSIN FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHER | THE PFAFFENROTHS!

They all sat at dinner, excited to see Sandy open her birthday gift! What better way to celebrate than with family photos? And, what Mom wouldn't be thrilled to open a gift certificate for a family portrait session with her loved ones?? Thankfully, Sandy received the gift well! ;)

Just a few weeks later the Pfaffenroth's were styled perfectly and ready to take pictures all around their BEAUTIFUL property in Oshkosh, WI. It was s blustery fall day, the sun was shining, and the session even ended with a ride around their land in Steve's pickup! (Little did he know, it happens to be our very favorite color and we were ecstatic to include it in a few images!)

MADISON WI ENGAGEMENT PHOTOGRAPHER | MELISSA & BRANDON!

It was a rainy morning, and we fidgeted in our desk chair as we contemplated what the weather might be like in Madison around 4:00pm. Melissa & Brandon were likely doing the same thing! After a series of emails bouncing back & forth from our inbox to theirs, we decided to just go for it!! With coffee in hand and a looming threat of rain ahead, we packed our cameras & wellies and pointed our car south. When we arrived to Maple Bluff Beach the fog was so deep that you couldn't even see the Capitol, which is usually in clear sight from the beautiful shoreline! But we were so excited when the almost-eerie scene made for the most incredible photos!!

Melissa & Brandon are adorable together. She's a pint-sized happy little lady, and Brandon had no problem wrapping her up to keep his bride-to-be warm. Aside from music & singing, one of Melissa & Brandon's shared passions is beer. They brew their own and we wouldn't be surprised in the least if someday these two will open up their own brewery! Atop a blanket made by Melissa, they cheers'd and enjoyed a pint from Capital Brewery in glasses carefully selected for the occasion by Brandon. :)

This damp Wednesday evening in Madison left all four of us even MORE excited for Melissa & Brandon's June 2014 wedding at the Rothschild Pavilion! Cheers to many good things coming soon!!

ST. PAUL ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS | SUSAN & ERIC!!

You know that kind of person who you spend your entire life looking up to? For me (Kelsy) that has always been my Aunt Susan, and she is the beautiful lady whose smile lights up each one of these photos!! In hopes of not spoiling my wedding day speech, as I am so excited to be standing beside Susan along with two others as one of her Matrons of Honor, I'm going to skip some of the mushy stuff and move onto how excited I am to see Susan the happiest I have EVER seen her!!

Susan & Eric were introduced by friends and their very first date is exactly what inspired their engagement session! After meeting at the Black Dog Cafe for coffee on a Saturday morning, they ventured across the street to the St Paul Farmer's Market and continued to talk for hours. Not only is that an adorable first date, it also lended itself to a cute & meaningful location for their photos!! After making our way through mounds of brussels sprouts & autumnal blooms, we headed to what we like to call Central Park (aka Irvine Park) and were lucky enough to have just enough playtime before the rain came. :)

Susan & Eric, thank you two so much for not only being some of our closest family, but also for the fun friendship that comes along with it!! We can't wait to be a part of your wedding weekend and are SO excited that we were able to create these images with you :)
