Katherine and Arnab's wedding day was nothing short of amazing! It was an absolutely perfect early fall day in Door County, with bountiful sunshine and a crisp autumn breeze. They had friends and family visiting from around the globe to share in their wedding celebration, which was planned in large part by Katherine's Mom, Carol. She beautifully combined rich Indian-inspired hues of gold & red with teal accents to tie in the water tones of Door County's 300+ miles of shoreline. Arnab's parents traveled for 18 hours by plane to be a part of their celebration, and his Mom wore two stunning sarees. Vibrant, punchy florals by Helene at Flora and red bowties for the gentlemen laced color through every inch of their wedding day! Katherine paired her dress with classic Kate Spade heels and a custom-made necklace; she and Arnab were such a timeless bride and groom!! We were lucky to capture gorgeous portraits with the two of them and their families along the shore at Katherine's parents property in Ellison Bay. Their portrait time was so relaxing and joyful, we could have spent the entire day there with them! But, of course, a beautiful reception awaited them at Gordon Lodge! :)

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour with a view of Lake Michigan as the sun set while they shared hugs & laughter and enjoyed savory passed appetizers. Once the last drop of sunlight shined on the patio, heartfelt speeches and toasts spoke volumes to the genuine, caring personalities and giant hearts that Katherine and Arnab each have. Throughout dinner, loved ones took turns singing songs with the word 'love' in them to pull out Katherine & Arnab's smooches. :) And, finally, the new Mr & Mrs first dance was a choreographed number to Justin Timberlake's "Mirrors." With Katherine's bustled gown spinning around the dance floor, she was the belle of the ball while she & Arnab kicked off their party with their awesome band, Random Maxx

Katherine & Arnab, we couldn't be more thankful to have been your photographers! We're so happy for the two of you :)

Love, Kelsy & Butch

gordon-lodge-door-county-wedding-001 Fall weekends in Door County, Wisconsin tend to be on the busier side. Fall colors line the shores and back roads everywhere you turn, and the busy roads in Ephraim, Sister Bay, Fish Creek and Bailey's Harbor are usually bumper-to-bumper with cars angling to get to the next beautiful spot. We're not sure words will do the feeling we all experienced justice, but after Katie & Nick's ceremony at Ephraim Moravian Church overlooking Ephraim the entire wedding party gathered at the volunteer Ephraim Firestation, where Nick's father so honorably served. One photo we hoped to get was the entire wedding party in front of the station, which is located right on highway 42 in probably the busiest part of Door County. As we were arranging Katie & Nick and their awesome wedding party, the traffic just stopped! As in, LINES of cars were graciously waiting for us to get the photos we needed! Yup, Katie and Nick stopped traffic on their wedding day on one of the busiest Door County weekends of the entire year!!

Their wedding day was blessed with rain, but you would never know it from the looks on Katie & Nick's faces, or the faces of their guests! From the moment we arrived to the walnut cabin at Gordon Lodge in Baileys Harbor where Katie was getting into her dress, we could tell the only thing that mattered was that Katie & Nick were tying the knot. The non-stop day of celebrating also included a tour of the County via the Door County Trolley winding through Peninsula State Park and just about every colorful back road they could find on the way from their Ephraim ceremony to their BEAUTIFUL Gordon Lodge reception. After sweet and entertaining toasts, Katie & Nick enjoyed adorable cupcakes and danced the night away with all of the guests, who weren't the least bit shy about crashing the dance floor! :)

Katie & Nick, photographing a love as strong & happy as yours is truly a blessing for us! We know the two of you will have a long, joyful and family-centered marriage. Capturing these moments that you'll be able to look back on for a lifetime makes us burst with joy!

Love, Kelsy & Butch

Nicole & Andrew's incredible style is something worth noting, and so is the adorable way they bring out the BIGGEST smiles & laughs in each other!! If there were ever a couple that could handle a super rainy wedding day with grace, it's these two. On October 5th Mother Nature was pouring down pretty hard on beautiful Door County, but we braved the rain together and couldn't be more excited about the images we created with these two!!

After Nicole & Andrew's ceremony we hopped on a trolley and pointed it in the direction of a family member's stunning barn/home in Sister Bay, which turned out to be the most perfect solution to creating portraits outside despite the rain! We couldn't get enough of their adorable porch and, if you can't tell from the photos, Nicole & Andrew are a blast to be around (not to mention to have in front of our cameras!!!).

With nautical touches splashed around their reception at Gordon Lodge and guests singing "love" songs to make them kiss, Nicole & Andrew's celebration undeniably brightened the day! These two must be extra blessed, as both their engagement session and wedding day were filled with snow & rain!

Nicole & Andrew, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for inviting us into your wedding day!! We adore the two of you and hope these photographs are cherished in your family for generations!

Love | Kelsy & Butch
